Septic Safe Wet Wipes

Biodegradable wet wipes clean much better than dry wipes, and are softer on the skin, therefore causing less irritation.

Unscented Flushable Wipes

For people who don’t like using wipes with a fragrance, unscented flushable wipes are a perfect option.

Best Flushable Wipes for Adults

When looking for flushable wipes, it’s important to research whether the wipes you’re looking into are actually flushable wipes. The following are the best flushable wipes for adults - that are really flushable.

Medline ReadyFlush Wipes

Medline Readyflush Wipes are gentle on the skin, soft, soothing, and flushable. These disposable flushable wipes don’t just sanitize; they also moisturize. And besides all that, some have a pleasant, light fragrance. Each pre-moisturized wipe is comprised of hydraspun decomposable cloth fibers. Flushable Wipes and Septic Systems: Are Flushable Wipes Really Flushable?

Although there are those who claim that flushable toilet wipes is an oxymoron, and there is no such thing as flushable wet wipes for adults, it is nearly impossible to prove that that is true.

If anything, the evidence points to the contrary: The fact that more and more people are choosing to purchase flushable wet wipes as bathroom wipes, instead of non-flushable ones, is proof that they don’t cause problems!

If lots of people would find that flushable wipes were causing toilet clogs, they’d stop using them. But flushable toilet wipes are only gaining popularity, because they’re not a big factor in sewage problems at all.

Actually, since people use both types of bathroom wipes for adults; both flushable and non-flushable, it’s nearly impossible to determine whether the toilet wet wipes that are clogging any city’s sewage pipes are flushable or not.

In order for septic safe wipes to truly be considered flushable by the INDA, they are required to undergo a seven-part test. Wipes that pass this test, and are considered flushable, are not at risk of clogging up sewage systems.

“If every wipe flushed... [passed the INDA’s flushability test], then there would be no problem in wastewater systems caused by wipes," says Dave Rousse; the president of the INDA. "Nobody has ever at any time been able to attribute any damage or any problem in a wastewater system to a flushable wipe."

So, to summarize, it has never been determined whether moist toilet wipes found stuck in sewage systems are flushable or not. According to the companies who make biodegradable flushable wipes, they are flushable, and according to nearly all individual users, they are flushable.
